Mmabatho Palms Opens Palmetto Restaurant and Lounge
On 14 December Mmabatho Palm officially opened it's new restaurant Palmetto. After the tragic loss in 2021 when a fire destroyed much of the resort including the Metcourt Hotel, this is a big step in offering a new hospitality option.
‘We are delighted to be able to offer our hospitality services again,’ says General Manager Operations Johnny Malebo. ‘Mmabatho Palms has a rich history and it means a lot to the people of Mahikeng for us to now be able take this big step towards full operations again.’
In attendance at the relaunch and ribbon cutting was Non-Executive Peermont Global North West Board Member Gabriel Dikgatswi, Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality Executive MayoCllr Khumalo Molefe, Mahikeng Local Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Tshepiso Mphehlo, North West Gambling Board Accounting Authority Moeketsi Senqhi, and Peermont CEO Nigel Atherton.
Palmetto Restaurant and Lounge is a stylishly contemporary space, complete with a sleek, modern bar and lounge, perfect for unwinding. Punctuated with vibrant floral fabrics and lush greenery, guests will be transported to a world where every detail is an ode to the environment that bears it’s name. The ambiance is a symphony of colours and textures, creating an atmosphere that mirrors the vibrant local culture. The outdoor seating area creates an urban oasis where culinary excellence meets relaxed ambiance. Palmetto caters to caters to all tastes, from succulent steaks and fresh seafood to tender poultry and exquisite pasta dishes.
